Daryl Davis was born in State College, Pennsylvania and grew up in Hershey, Pennsylvania. After high school, he attended and graduate from Grove City College in Grove City, Pennsylvania. He then worked for a year at the Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup factory in Hershey before entering Westminster Theological Seminary in Philadelphia. Daryl received his Master of Divinity degree from Westminster in 1977 and returned to Grove City College as a campus minister from 1977 to 1980. In 1980 he became Associate Pastor of Providence Presbyterian Church in Pittsburgh, a position he held until he moved to Sarasota in January 1990 to become Associate Pastor of Covenant Life Presbyterian Church. July – December 2010, Daryl preached at Hope Presbyterian Church in Bradenton, Florida. He joined Cornerstone as Interim Pastor on January 1, 2011.

Ted Hamm is Assistant Pastor of Small Groups and Assimilation.

Ted is married to Lucibeth and they have four children: Craig, Bailey, Benjamin and Jaynie. He is from South Carolina and has a BA in Business from Clemson University. He worked in Human Resources for ten years before going back to seminary at RTS Charlotte where he received his Master of Divinity.

Myron earned a degree in Guitar Performance from Musician’s Institute in Hollywood, CA. Since then he has performed in various bands, worked as a session musician in a local studio, taught guitar and since 1998 has been leading worship in the PCA.

Myron is married to Wendy, and together they have two boys Sidney and Samuel.

Dave joined the staff of Cornerstone in February 2008 after retiring from a career in engineering. He serves as coordinator of Cornerstone’s volunteer ministries and education programs, and is in charge of marriage and family support. He is one of the elders at Cornerstone.

Dave is originally from Kansas, and lived in Wyoming, Nebraska and Virginia before moving to Florida with his family in the early 1990’s. Dave has been married to Nicky for 30 years and they have nine children ages 8 to 29.

Monty has been involved with the youth here at Cornerstone for the past six years. He stepped in as the Interim Youth Director in February of 2004, and became the full-time Youth Director shortly thereafter. Monty grew up in Sarasota and returned to the area after attending college in West Palm Beach.

He is currently pursuing a Master of Arts in Religion at Reformed Theological Seminary through their online program.
Monty met his wife, Karyn, at Cornerstone. They were married by Pastor Dave in November of 2007.

Amanda moved to Sarasota seven years ago from Orlando, Florida. She graduated from Florida Southern College in Lakeland, Florida. She has been a member of Cornerstone since August of 2006. Looking for a way to serve and wanting to use her love for children, Amanda, began working with the Children’s Ministry two years ago as a Sunday school teacher. She was hired on as the part-time Children’s Ministry Director at the beginning of the year.

Amanda met her husband, Kent Bontrager, at Cornerstone and was married by Assistant Pastor, Ted Hamm in March of 2008. She loves to bake with her nieces, cook with her husband and run, bike and hike.

Bill Martin has been with Cornerstone since 1995, serving as an elder, leading worship and teaching adults. Bill’s passion is to see Christian adults deepen and broaden their understanding of faith and the Christian life. He has taught courses and led seminars in Bible, theology, philosophy and contemporary issues. He also developed Cornerstone’s ”Leadership Foundations” course. In 2002, Bill graduated with an M.A. from Reformed Theological Seminary.

His full-time job is hosting “The Morning Cruise” on The JOY FM, along with Dave Cruse and Carmen Brown. Bill is married to Kimberly, and they are raising Will, Madison, Adam, Grady and Payton.

Raised in the true South (Alabama, Georgia, Tennessee), Sandra moved around quite a bit before settling in Bradenton in 2003 with her family. A business management graduate of Kennesaw State University in Marietta, GA, she is married to husband Steve with 2 daughters Kelsey and Lindsay. Enjoys the wonderful sunshine we have here in Florida and when not serving the congregants of Cornerstone likes to spend time with her family, play tennis, boat or do most anything outdoors.

Beth grew up in Sturgis, Michigan and later attended a Christian liberal arts college in Indiana (Goshen College). After graduating with a Bachelor’s degree in accounting, she moved to Sarasota and began her masters in Accountancy at USF. After working as a director of Finance in a local business, she started an Accounting business in 1998 specializing in Tax. She has three wonderful children…James (17), Alex (15), and Brielle (8) and a loving husband, Bob. She spends the majority of her time hanging out and playing with her kids, managing her accounting office, and enjoying water activities with her family.

Melanie is a native Floridian. Born and raised all over the state, she returned in 1999 to the Bradenton area to make this her permanent home. Melanie comes to Cornerstone after taking time off to be a stay-at-home mom to children Jamie, Emma & Sean. She met her husband Bill at her previous job where she worked as an engineering tech. The Conerly’s have been attending Cornerstone since 2001 and Melanie began helping with the youth department in 2008. She also assists in creating the church worship bulletins each week. Melanie keeps busy with her children’s activities, being a Girl Scout leader for two troops and running races.

Debbie grew up in Omaha, Nebraska and attended the University of Nebraska at Omaha. “GO BIG RED!” She moved to Sarasota in the mid 70′s, married husband Michael and had three sons, Matt, Scott and Dan. She taught pre-school at Faith Christian School. Since joining the Cornerstone family in 2008, she has been involved in Pioneer Club and the children’s nursery, where she was recently hired as Nursery Supervisor. In September 2011 she received certification through the American Heart Association in First Aid and CPR. Debbie loves working with children, football, travelling, reading, and especially spending time with family and her three grandchildren.
