Join us at Cornerstone this weekend as we wrap up our fall study of the Holy Spirit along these themes.

Would you ever think that maybe there are so many different churches because of the Holy Spirit? After all, there are so many ministries calling for attention, and only so many abilities and people. Love transforms busy ministry into the body of Christ where gifts are rightly used… one body, one faith, one Lord.

Counterfeits can be very convincing. But there’s nothing to back it up. The illusion of wealth eventually evaporates and you’re stuck with nothing. The fruit of the Spirit, however, is a harvest of goodness − the real thing. This weekend, at Cornerstone of Lakewood Ranch, we will visit the character of Christ, from whom all blessings flow.

Not many things are as universally crippling to the human spirit than criticism. Imagine if you could be free of it… even self-criticism. Only one place offers such a promise, and that is in the grace of Christ. Which explains why we will worship him this Sunday at Cornerstone of Lakewood Ranch.

The mentality of an orphan must differ in many ways to that of a son who comes from a loving and wealthy family. So that begs the question, when Christians pray “Our Father…” what could they possibly be thinking?

Each of feels the need to acquire some level of personal self-control. If you have something that controls you, in that area of your life you are out of control. So, one major benefit of the Holy Spirit is to give his people power of self-mastery.

If I am a Christian, and the Holy Spirit lives within me, why don’t I experience more of his strength? And if I pray for strength from God, why does it seem like he doesn’t answer me?

To follow the Spirit is to be led by God. But don’t think in terms of guaranteed results or insider trading or a direct line for decision making. To be led by the Spirit means you find the power to do what’s right.
